Nashville, Tenn. Sept. 28, 2011… GRAMMY ® nominated Gungor’s newest recording, Ghosts Upon the Earth, has been greeted with strong debut numbers and reviews. Their latest project sold over 9,500 units the first week, earning Gungor the rankings of No. 3 at Christian Soundscan and No. 43 on the Billboard Top 200 while consistently topping the iTunes ® Christian and Gospel chart much of the week. The release comes just days after Gungor’s limited Ghosts Upon the Earth events which sold out in both Nashville and Atlanta.

Reviews are echoing the fan’s approval giving Ghosts Upon the Earth radiant remarks.

“When Death Dies, Gungor: ‘An eerie tune, with strings that recall the Psychedelic Furs' Love My Way: ‘When death dies, all things live.’” – USA Today’s Playlist for the week of Sept. 19, 2011

“As it stands, Ghosts Upon the Earth is an early pick for album of the year.” - Relevant

“It's diverse yet cohesive, the couple's sincere, complementary voices acting as the album's bonding agents. Ghosts Upon the Earth proves worship music can be experimental and still accessible.” – Christianity Today

“They create asymmetrical, ambient melodies that are vastly pleasing and unique. Distinctive instrumentation is one of the elements that make this band stand out above the rest: varied and perfectly seasoned for a delicious sound. It has been said, ‘True art endures the gaze.’ I’m sure I will find myself returning to this album over and over.” - Crosswalk

Amidst the fanfare, Twitter was also igniting with support for Ghosts Upon the Earth including backing from One Republic who tweeted “NEW MUSIC!! - U gotta get ‘This Is Not The End’ by a local Denver band- Gungor- @gungormusic. It'll put u in a trance.. 3 min of bliss.”

A unique eBook has also been unveiled today exclusively at iTunes ®. The book contains even more work from famed photographer Jeremy Cowart who is responsible for the unique imagery used in the group’s most recent record. Click here to download the eBook for free.

Gungor will take to the road with fellow GRAMMY ® nominees David Crowder*Band alongside John Mark McMillan and Chris August for “The 7 Tour” tonight for the opening in Austin, TX. For the latest tour information, visit www.GungorMusic.com.
